Annalisa

Annalisa has been poured, painted and dressed by me, but the original sculpture is by the doll artist, Doreen Sinnett.

She is made from Flumo, a strong and versatile medium, entirely suitable for doll making. It has a smooth texture which closely resembles porcelain while giving a realistic appearance to the doll. Her arms and head can be posed the way you want.

Every aspect of her creation has extreme attention to detail.  Her deep blue eyes are framed with long dark eyelashes and her lips are a soft rose.  A touch of blush accentuates her cheekbones. Her attire is typical of the 1880's, with large bustles and voluminous skirts.

Her inner clothing contains silk drawers and a petticoat trimmed with pleated silk and further enhanced with ribbon and lace trim.  She wears a ball gown in light and dark turquoise blue which is cut in several parts to drape gracefully and flatter her form.  The first layer of her clothing, is a deep turquoise blue which has been trimmed with hand painted French lace and further embellished with gold and turquoise beads.  Her main dress is in a lighter shade of turquoise blue, and trimmed with a variety of lace, silk ribbon beads and flowers.  The gold lace that has been used as trim on the back of the dress is hand crocheted in silk.  The dress is rendered more elaborate by the tastefully arranged wire edged enamel effect flowers.

Her jewelry comprises an elaborate turquoise and gold bead necklace and tiny gold earrings.

Her upswept hairstyle has been shaped into a chignon with the ends curled and piled on top of her head.  Enamel effect flowers have been scattered throughout.  A few stray tendrils frame her face.

She stands at under 6 inches tall and is a perfectly scaled dollhouse miniature.  Pose her in a grand ballroom or any elaborate setting and you will be pleased with the results.
