Angelique

Angelique is made from Li-qua-Che, a pourable papier mache, which despite its fragile quality, is a very strong and versatile medium, entirely suitable for doll making. It has a smooth, satiny texture which resembles porcelain and gives a realistic appearance to the doll. She has been poured and dressed by me, but the original sculpture is by Doreen Sinnett.

Angelique is dressed in French fashion.  She has on dainty tangerine chiffon underwear, fishnet stockings and a black garter belt.  She wears a double layered tulle petticoat, and a petticoat made of Swiss batiste trimmed with tangerine chiffon and antique lace.  Her dress is in a delightful shade of cream and deep orange.

Her skirt of deep orange silk is trimmed with antique lace.  Her bodice is made from lace and has been heavily embellished with gold beadwork.  Her shoes are of lace trimmed tangerine chiffon.  A three strand pearl necklace completes the picture.  Angelique is an extremely beautiful doll, and has deep blue eyes and soft coral lips. Her hair is a rich brown, and falls in soft waves over her shoulders.

She is a sitting doll, but would be about 5 1/2 inches tall if she were standing.  She is a perfectly scaled dollhouse miniature.  She would look wonderful in a grand setting, where she could sit, awaiting her many suitors.

This doll is sold, but I undertake commission work. For details, availability and pricing, you may contact me at info@magicminiatures.com
